Safety and Loss Prevention
General Safety Policy
It is the responsibility of every employee of the Company to maintain a healthy and safe work environment. Please report all safety hazards and occupational illnesses or injuries to your supervisor immediately and complete an occupational illness or injury form as needed. Failure to follow the Company's health and safety rules can result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Policy Statement
The management of SPM is committed to providing employees with a safe & healthful workplace. It is the policy of this organization that employees report unsafe conditions & do not perform work tasks if the work is considered unsafe. Employees must report all accidents, injuries & unsafe conditions to their supervisors. Such reports will not result in retaliation, penalty or other disincentive.
Employee recommendations to improve safety & health conditions will be given thorough consideration by the SPM management team. Management will give top priority to & provide the financial resources for the correction of unsafe conditions. Similarly, management will take disciplinary action against an employee who willfully or repeatedly violates workplace safety rules. This action may include verbal or written warnings with advice on how to improve & may ultimately result in suspension and/or termination of employment.
The primary responsibility for the coordination, implementation & maintenance of the SPM workplace safety program has been assigned to:

Senior management will be actively involved with employees in establishing & maintaining an effective safety program. The SPM safety program coordinator or other members of our management team will participate with the employees in ongoing safety & health program activities, which include these three (3) practices:

• Promoting safety committee
participation;
• Providing safety and health
education &
• Reviewing & updating
workplace safety
training; &
This policy statement serves to express management’s commitment to & involvement in providing SPM employees a safe & healthful workplace. This workplace safety program
will be incorporated as the standard of practice for SPM. Compliance with the safety rules will be required of all employees as a condition of employment.
